Blue Smoked BMW 7-Series

2003 BMW 745Li with Blue Smoke Headlights
Chung just sent us in installation photos of his headlights, taillights and third brake lights smoked out in blue Rtint film and his 2003 745Li is a real head turner now (as if it wasn’t before). Although thee’s a lot we could say about the 7-Series what is even more intriguing to yours truly is the fact that someone who already own an acknowledged luxury car would want to add the “HID effect” that blue smoke wrap kits furnish when installed correctly.
Why am I intrigued you may ask? Well, most newer BMW’s already come with halo projector lights so it would initially seem that that adding a blue tint would be redundant. Still, it may just be that the blue tinting film renders the look of the vehicle as a whole much more unique because the blue of the headlights can’t be seen during the day and even when it could be seen it is restricted to the focused beams of light. In addition to the headlights Chung also wrap the brake light  and the taillights in the blue smoke which is not something I’ve often seen but which really does work. Furthermore it appears that he may have completely blacked out the upper portions of the tails making the 745Li’s exterior that much more menacing. In short, the 7-Series is already a beautifully styled beast but Chung may have improved up the German aesthetic with his vinyl auto accessories.

The 2007 Ford Mustang GT – Ever-popular American Muscle

Rebate Photo - 2007 Ford Mustang GT with Dark Smoke Precut RtintWant to hear a fun fact you can use at  your next cocktail party (if you go to those types of things)? Nearly one out of every two sports cars sold in the US are Mustangs and, on the whole, Mustangs sell like hotcakes compared to other American cars. In my opinion its not solely the V6 engines that make the Mustangsuch a classic but the aggressive and inspired design of the exterior that really keeps people coming back for more. What’s more the 2007 Mustang is available in 4 different trim levels (for both the coupe and convertible): V6 Deluxe, V6 Premium, GT Deluxe and GT Premium.  And, if you didn’t already feel good about the look and performance of the Mustang you’ll be sure to like the fact that every Mustang is built in Flat Rock, Michigan.
I had considered writing a description of the 2007 Mustang but when I read TopSpeed’s review I was blown away so I’ll include it below in full:
Mustang is pure American muscle. The signature long hood and short rear deck capitalize on 40 years of history, as do classic design cues that have defined Mustangs since the 1960s: C-scoops in the sides, three-element taillamps, and a galloping horse badge in the center of the grille. The Mustang’s menacing shark-like nose imparts an attitude not seen since the 1967 model, while jeweled, round headlamps in trapezoidal housings are part of its modern architecture. The car’s aggressive rake gives the design visual motion, while the short overhangs and up to 18-inch wheels and tires anchor the design visually and physically to the road.
As you can see, the 2007 Mustang GT is a formidable beast and although rvinyl headlight covers don’t do anything for the performance of your ride they will certainly make you look faster! Thanks to Ryan for the great rebate photos of his pre-cut headlight tint in dark smoke. Enjoy!

The 2005 Mini Cooper S – More than a Good-looking Go-Cart

In review after review, people have compared the 2005 Mini Cooper and the supercharged Mini Cooper S to little more than an adult-sized go-cart. Such a characterization does a great injustice to car whose entire raison d’etre is cool because were it not for the cool-factor the Mini wouldn’t have stood a chance in the land of SUVs and Detroitmuscle cars.
The fact that the base Mini and the S come with a well-appointed and designed interior and with great performance may surprise the casual consumer who has only heard of the Cooper in relation to its similarity to a golf cart and its Spartan British origins. Fortunately, much has changed since its first incarnation on the other side of the pond and in its current form it offers “BMW-engineered suspension and steering…[many] comfort and safety features, hatchback utility, free scheduled maintenance for three years/36,000 miles.” Sounds like a pretty great deal for under $20K off the lot.
Now that you’ve been thoroughly schooled in the technical underpinnings of the 2005 Mini Cooper’s cool I can move onto the photographic evidence. Adnan was kind enough to provide his installed photos of the pre-cut visor we offer for the rebate program we run. One word of caution however that took bith us and Adnan by surprise: some models of the Mini Cooper S come with a rain sensor that must be accounted for when applying the visor. This was something we were not previously aware and should be added to our descriptions on our next revision. Nonetheless, the pictures are pretty stunning and it appears he did a great job. Enjoy!

Rvinyl Installation Preview Video — Carbon Fiber Hood Wrap

The boys in video just produced a handful of newinstallation videos of our film and performance lines but I’ve been told to leak them  slowly so I’ll only give you guys a taste of the carbon fiber hood installation video today. The film being applied on the Civic in the video is a 3D, textured film very similar to our R24  series but at 60″ in width (hence the name R60). The R60 black filmis perhaps one of my favorites not solely due to the ease of installation but because it really looks good when applied.
You’ll notice that the video in question is a hybrid of promotional and instructional video which is why we call it an installation preview video. We plan to release purely instructional material later but, to be honest, lengthy how-to videos can be kind of boring and less useful then printed instructions. Anyway, we hope you enjoy the show and please don’t  be afraid to share your feedback!

The 2005 Chevy Colorado – Taking Over Where the S-10 Left Off

The Chevrolet Colorado, released in 2004 was planned as a replacement for the venerable S-10 line. It has a GMC cousin in the form of the Canyon (any else “C” a pattern) and only time  will tell if it can fill the shoes of its predecessor. The exterior is angular and aerodynamic with a prominent gold Chevy bow tie on the chrome grille. The interior is spacious for a compact pick-up and offers a range of options and trim levels. All in all, the Colorado is a more refined version of the S-10 and is slightly larger and is well worth the price tag. Fortunately for us, its interior is well-suited to DIY customization as are most Chevy and GMC trucks. we would like to thank Michael for his rebate photos and hope to see more of this truck in the future.Door Control Accent - 2005 Chevy Colorado Dash Kit in Carbon FiberLeft of Steering Wheel Accent - 2005 Chevy Colorado Dash Kit in Carbon FiberGlove Box Accent - 2005 Chevy Colorado Dash Kit in Carbon FiberSpeedometer Accent - 2005 Chevy Colorado Dash Kit in Carbon Fiber

The 1999 Eclipse RS and Dark Smoke Taillight Wraps

I believe we’ve posted a few times on the 1995 – 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse here and have noted that that generation Eclipse was perhaps one of our best-sellers ever as far as auto accessories go. In fact, I personally redesigned the dash kit for the 2nd generation Eclipse at least twice due to its popularity and the demand for additional interior trim pieces. Even now, when we rarely sell the dash kit anymore, I can still see all of the interior components that helped to make it such a distinctive ride and a fan favorite. But, I digress…the real reason for this post has everything to do with the taillight wraps on the non-turbo RS. I am also tempted to get into the technical details of the different trim levels ranging from the RS to the supercharged GSX but I’ll restrain myself and stick to the topic at hand.
The exterior of the Eclipse 1995 resembles the now discontinued Eagle Talom although with more rounded features which are typical of the era. Even though 1990s automotive aesthetics are not my cup of tea the Eclipse has always been one of the nicer looking rides from that period and, fortunately for us at Rvinyl, the head and taillights have a pleasantly aggressive look which are accentuated by the body lines of the vehicle. In short, “Eclipse has an aggressive front fascia with large air intakes, flowing roofline and full-width taillamps.”
Now that we’ve given you a taste of what many consider to have been the premier sports coupe of the 90s we can get on to the pics. Brandon purchased two dark smoke wrap kits at 24″ by 24″  in length each from our eBay store and quickly set about wrapping his taillights and reflectors, I must say that he did an impressive job and that he demonstrates the ease with which a wrap kit can transform the look and feel of your vehicle. There are five photos in total and I’ve incli=uded them in large format below for your viewing enjoyment. Have a great weekend!

More Mazda 3s – Abdul’s Blue Smoke Headlight Tint Video

Mazda 3 Touring Sedan 2010 with Pre-cut Dark Smoke Headlight TintAbdul sent this video in to us and posted it on YouTubesome time ago but I felt it would be worth it to revisit it since we’ve had a flurry of Mazda 3 submissions of late. I don’t really have much to say except to repeat thatMazda really has a winner on their hands here and that of all of the headlight tints I seen applied on this bad boy the bue smoke Rtint has to be my favorite. So, as always thanks to Abdul and enjoy!

The 2010 Mazda 3 Sedan Touring Edition – A Tuner’s Dream

The Mazda 3 has become for many enthusiasts of this decade what the Civic was in the 90′s. Everyday I sell tint kits for the windows and lights not to mention a variety of other performance and detailing products just for the 3 as is evidenced by the photos which keep pouring in from satisfied customers (I’ll include some  of the pics and blog posts below if I’ve piqued your interest). Anyway, I was reading an article from AutoGuide.com about the 2010 Mazda3 because Zac just sent in some nice photos of his install of the dark smoke precuts on his headlights and I was struck by a couple of interesting points that author Colum Wood made. First and foremost among these was the fact that the Mazda 3 represents almost a full one-third of Mazdas sold in North America which is a huge number! Add to this the fact that, as Mr Wood points out, Mazda’s branding philosophy has concentrated on pushing its new aesthetic vis-a-vis the 3 which is at the lower end of the price scale and you have brought to market the epitome of a tuner’s dream car. In other words, Mazda has poured all of its design and engineering expertise into its most tuner friendly and accessible ride and the results are to be expected: an aftermarket community dedicated to the 3 in all its manifestations. What does  that mean for you intrepid reader? Well simply that you can expect to see a lot more photos of our products installed on and in the Mazda 3.
