What Rshield Protection Film application tools do you recommend?
Rvinyl recommends the use of an application squeegee which will reduce air bubbles during installation and aide in heat conforming Protection Film. By using a low friction sleeve, you will reduce the chance of scratching your Rshield Film during application. Application solutions such as Rapid Clear will remove any dirt or debris from your application surface and Rapid Tac will aide in the wet application of our Paint Protection Film kits. We strongly recommend the use of these products to achieve professional results.
Why don't you offer a wider kit?
Your vehicle's paint surfaces are a difficult area to apply Rshield film to. It is wide and a cumbersome application area, however by reducing the area to two parallel sections, application becomes easier. The protective film seam will be almost invisible when properly applied.
What can Rshield Kits be applied to?
These sheets can be applied to car, truck or SUV bumpers, hoods, fenders, pillars, trunks and roofs. Any plastic trim, metal parts and just about any relatively non-porous surface on your vehicle
Do they have a glossy finish?
Yes, it has a gloss finish.
Is the surface durable?
When applied correctly to the appropriate hard surface the film is very durable, UV stable and scratch resistant.
Can it be applied to curved surfaces?
Carbon Fiber R One Kits can be applied to surfaces with extreme curvatures such as fenders or bumpers. They can be applied using a heated application method. This is an advanced installation procedure, but well worth the trouble.
Will it fade in the sun?
No, it is coated with a UV protective layer which will last up to three years outdoors.
Can it be cleaned?
Yes, once applied and bonded to your surface you may clean it and polish it with such things Armor All or any type of cleaning agent that is Acetate free.

Thickness of film plus adhesive: .0042" (0.010668cm)
Application temperature: 50°F to 104°F (10°C - 40°C)
Rvinyl recommends an application temperature of 70-80°F (21° -26°)
End Use temperature after application: -5°F to 194°F (-20°C - 90°C)
